What is GearCare?

GearCare is a product / service combination that includes an iSkin premium case with the additional benefit of accidental damage repair warranty for 1 year (365 days). GearCare warranty repairs or in some cases, replaced your iPhone if it becomes accidentally damaged while in your iSkin case.


How does GearCare cover my device

When you register your iPhone using the GearCare app the coverage begins after the grace period of 30 days and will continue for 1 year. Your iPhone will be eligible for repair or replacement if damage occurs during this period.

When can I register my device with GearCare.

You will be notified via email when it's time to register your device with GearCare. Download the GearCare app from the App Store to register.  Please note that device registration is available 30 days from the original date of purchase of your iSkin case. If you have not received an email notifying you to register, please contact us at here.




When does GearCare become active.

After your have registered your device, GearCare becomes active thirty days (30 days) from the date of purchase. If you return your iSkin case prior to the 30 days for a refund, GearCare will not be activated on your device.


What if my device becomes damaged without the iSkin case.

GearCare only covers damage that occurs when your device is protected by your iSkin case and or an iSkin screen film. 


What if my device cannot be fixed?

If your device was damaged beyond repair, GearCare may elect to replace the device with the same or comparable model of the registered damaged device.

How much does GearCare cost?

GearCare is inclusive in the price of your iSkin case, and or screen film. There is no additional cost for the coverage.

What happens if I return my iSkin case?

If you return your iSkin case with GearCare within the allowable period and you have already registered your device, your GearCare service will be cancelled immediately.

I’ve downloaded the App, now what do I do?

Follow the simple instructions contained within the app, once you have downloaded it, you will be prompted to go through a series of steps. You must register your device. SEE INSTRUCTIONS HERE


The registration system/app is not recognizing my registration code. What do I do?

Try re-installing the app, if that does not work please call the toll free number for assistance: (888) 299-5534.

What is the claim process for GearCare?

Follow the simple process in your welcome package or read How To Get Your Device Repaired located at If you require more details, please feel free to check out our terms and conditions.


Will I receive a tracking number for my shipment?

All returning packages will have tracking numbers.


Can I file a claim at any time?

After the mandatory 30 day grace period and anytime during the term of your policy a claim can be filed.


How long does it take for my claim to be processed?

A typical claim takes minutes to be approved; depending upon your situation times may vary for the repair to be completed. The average waiting time is approximately 5 business days.
