  • What is USB Type-C and how is it different from my regular USB cable?
USB Type-C is a new, smaller and adaptable bi-directional connector for connecting and powering electronic devices. Recent electronics like the Apple MacBook Pro 2017 and 2018 iPad pro feature USB Type-C ports exclusively. However, USB-C is not to be confused with USB 3.0 or 3.1 / Thunderbolt, as it is merely a new connector type and not a USB specification. This means that you can buy a USB-C cable with USB 2.0 specification or your can buy a USB-C cable with 3.0 specification. Both will look the same. Be sure to check when purchasing.
  • Is the PowerSync a USB 2.0 Charge and Sync Cable?
No. The PowerSync Type-C cable uses the USB 2.0 specification like Apple's own USB-C to Lightning cable. However it does support PD (USB Power Delivery) and can be used with PD power adapters up to 60W and up to 3amp fast-charging. Data transfer rates up to 480mb/sec.
