To maintain optimal cleanliness and functionality, we recommend that you wash your ProTouch Keyboard Protector bi–weekly under normal usage conditions (this can be increased to weekly if conditions require). To wash your ProTouch Keyboard Protector, simply remove it from your laptop or keyboard, and wash it with lukewarm water infused with gentle soap. Rinse the ProTouch Keyboard Protector completely, and then air dry or gently pat with a clean, lint–free towel. Please DO NOT expose the ProTouch Keyboard Protector to extreme heat (e.g. hair dryer, heating vent, heat lamp, etc.).

Not at all! The ProTouch Keyboard Protector snugly wraps around each key, giving you great protection but without adding bulk. You’ll enjoy your normal typing experience, while getting the powerful protection you want.
The ProTouch Keyboard Protector features embedded Microban® antimicrobial product protection, which provides continuous cleaning action, inhibiting the growth of damaging microbes, such as bacteria, that can cause stains, odors and product deterioration.
No – in fact, the opposite is the case! The ProTouch Keyboard Protector actually helps absorb and soften typing sound, so you’ll produce less noise. So it’s perfect for libraries, on airplanes, or on those late night social networking sessions when you want to be very, very quiet.
Please don’t worry — yes, you can fix this easily. When you first remove your ProTouch Keyboard Protector from its packaging, it will have temporarily adjusted to the "shape" of the cardboard insert. Once you start using and regularly washing your ProTouch Keyboard Protector (see question #1 above), it will re–adjust its shape and will return to its original, intended flat shape.
The ProTouch Keyboard Protector is designed to be ISO compatible, and will therefore fit most international layouts (aside from Japanese models). We recommend that if your keyboard or keypad does not contain the standard American layout, that you purchase only a transparent ProTouch Keyboard Protector color.
Under most circumstances: yes! Your ProTouch Keyboard Protector is designed to protect your beloved Mac/Apple keyboard and keypad. Most spills and liquid droplets will be effectively shielded by your ProTouch Keyboard Protector. However, depending on the liquid, temperature, volume and other variables, iSkin cannot guarantee that the ProTouch Keyboard Protector can withstand all types of spillage and liquid.
Absolutely! However, if you do this, please be advised that if your ProTouch Keyboard Protector is dirty or dusty, there is the possibility that closing your laptop will transfer some of that dirt/dust to your screen. To help avoid this, be sure to wash your ProTouch Keyboard Protector regularly (see question #1, above).

Yes, please refer to your right for the product manual that corresponds to your particular ProTouch Keyboard Protector model.
No. Silicone is designed to tolerate and dissipate heat effectively. ProTouch has been tested with the MacBook, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, and shows no substantial increase in temperature within Apple’s recommended usage conditions. ProTouch has also been on the market for several years, and has not been the cause of any overheated computers to date.
