Does the ProTouch PB work with the MacBook?
Because the keys themselves are recessed, flat, and squared off, unlike the previous notebook keyboards, and the top row of function keys are slightly wider, the fit and feel of the protector may not be to everyone's satisfaction. Thus, we can only recommend the use of the ProTouch PB keyboard protector with the MacBook in those cases where you have an absolute need for one. In such cases, you should find the fit adequate and the protector functional.

What are iSkin Keyboard Protectors made from?
The iSkin Keyboard Protector is made from a thin layer of durable high-grade silicone.

How does the iSkin Keyboard Protector help against screen staining caused by dirt and oils?
The iSkin Keyboard Protector is designed to catch oils and dirt transferred by your fingers to your keyboard. These oils in turn transfer to the iBook and PowerBook's screen causing stains.

How do I wash my iSkin Keyboard Protector?
Remove and wash your iSkin Keyboard Protector regularly in a mild solution of dishwashing liquid and warm water. Doing so will reduce the occurrence of oils and dirt coming in contact with your screen. Air-dry your iSkin Keyboard Protector completely before placing onto the keyboard.

Which keyboards are compatible with the ProTouch XT?
The ProTouch XT is compatible with the new Apple Keyboard. All G5/Intel iMacs and G5 Powermacs are packaged with this keyboard. The ProTouch XT is also compatible with the Apple Bluetooth Wireless keyboard. NOTE: the ProTouch XT is not compatible with the older Apple Pro Keyboard  and Apple USB Keyboard.

Which iBooks, PowerBooks, and MacBook Pros are compatible with the ProTouch PB?
The ProTouch PB Keyboard protector is designed to fit all iBooks, PowerBook G3, PowerBook G4 Ti, PowerBook G4 Aluminum, MacBook Pro models with both the U.S./ North American (ANSI) and International (ISO) keyboard layouts. It does not however fit the Japanese keyboard layout due to major differences in keyboard layout.

Does the iSkin Keyboard Protector promote heat buildup in the iBook and PowerBook?
No. Tests performed on the iBook and PowerBook G4 show that no considerable heat buildup that exceed normal operational temperatures, are caused by leaving the keyboard protector on at all times. These tests were conducted for a period of 8 to 10 hours per day for several months of normal use of the units in normal operational conditions. If for any reason this is of concern, simply remove the iSkin Keyboard Protector before closing your iBook or PowerBook or when typing is not necessary.

Can I close the lid of the laptop with the ProTouch PB protector in place?
Yes, you can close the Apple laptop with the ProTouch PB on, which helps protect the keyboard at all times from dust, food and liquids, not to mention anything else that may fall in between the keys.
